On a television set in the early 80s, Italian diva Lisa May reviews her career, without knowing that she is giving her last interview. More than forty years later, Fabio, her only son, returns to Barcelona for her funeral, and finds himself suspicious of the identity of his biological father, bankrupt, with the only company of the widower, Charly, a helpless Argentine dandy, and with the revealing discovery that her mother stood up to power when no one would.
